Fifteen months ago at the Sabin
Forum in Washington, D.C. President Obama said, “ Iran doesn’t need to have an
underground, fortified facility like ford in order to have a peaceful nuclear
program”. Obama added “They certainly don’t need a heavy-water reactor at Arak
in order to have a peaceful nuclear program. They don’t need some of the
advanced centrifuges that they currently possess in order to have a limited,
peaceful nuclear program.”
Well, the outline of the P5+1 “non-legally
binding understanding” with Iran allows all of the above. Shocking? No. POTUS
Obama’s “words” have never matched up with his “actions”. His “herculean effort” to enshrine his Presidency
with a significant foreign policy success will more than likely end up one of
the most infamous, misguided acts of any President in the history of the United
States. I sincerely hope I am wrong – but I doubt it.
